Police taped off a road after two children were hit by a car in a collision in Oldham<\/a>. Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were called to the scene on Rochdale<\/a> Road near Royton at around 3.15pm.<\/p>\n

It was reported that a vehicle had struck two children, who were pedestrians. A cordon was put in place blocking the main road in both directions near to St Cuthbert’s High School.<\/p>\n

One child received minor injuries. The other, whose age has not been confirmed was rushed to hospital from the scene. They are not thought to have sustained life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made in connection with the collision. The road remained closed for a number of hours as police made enquiries at the scene.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police<\/a> said: “At around 3.15pm on Wednesday 4 February 2026, police were called to reports of a collision on Rochdale Road in Oldham involving a car and two children.<\/p>\n

“One child received minor injuries and was treated at the scene. One child has been taken to hospital however injuries aren\u2019t deemed to be life-threatening or life-changing. The driver remained at the scene.
