The Met Office has issued a weather warning as more rain falls and as South East Water lifted a hosepipe ban imposed last summer.<\/p>\n
The official forecaster issued a yellow rain warning for a wide area including much of Sussex, covering today (Thursday 5 February).<\/p>\n
The Met Office said: \u201cAn area of rain, heavy at times, will move northwards during Thursday morning.<\/p>\n
\u201cA brief drier and brighter spell may follow but this likely to be short-lived with heavy slow-moving showers through the afternoon, merging into longer spells of rain through the evening, overnight and through much of Friday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough this event, 20mm to 30mm is likely for many places, with some higher ground areas receiving in excess of 50mm.<\/p>\n
\u201cGiven the widely saturated ground conditions, some surface water flooding is probable, with difficult driving conditions from spray, flowing water or flooded roads in particular.\u201d<\/p>\n
South East Water said this morning: \u201cWith immediate effect, we have lifted all hosepipe restrictions across Kent and Sussex.\u201d<\/p>\n
