{"id":745365,"date":"2026-02-06T03:16:10","date_gmt":"2026-02-06T03:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/745365\/"},"modified":"2026-02-06T03:16:10","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T03:16:10","slug":"watch-worlds-longest-wild-snake-found-in-indonesia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/745365\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch: World&#8217;s longest wild snake found in Indonesia"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>Feb. 5 (UPI) &#8212; Guinness World Records confirmed a massive reticulated python discovered in the Maros region of Indonesia is officially the longest wild snake to be formally measured.<\/p>\n<p>The record-keeping organization said it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guinnessworldrecords.com\/news\/2026\/2\/indonesian-python-makes-gwr-hissstory-as-the-longest-measured-wild-snake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">reviewed evidence confirming<\/a> the female snake measures 23 feet and 8 inches in length.\n<\/p>\n<p>The snake is currently in the care of conservationist Budi Purwanto, licensed snake handler Diaz Nugraha and natural history photographer Radu Frentiu.<\/p>\n<p>Nugraha and Frentiu said they went out in search of the impressively long snake after hearing of rumored sightings.
