A Bold Street restaurant had a surprise visit from a particularly flashy guest. Hollywood actor Grant Gustin received a warm welcome when he decided to pop into Kassap Meat House yesterday.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old actor, who is best known for his leading role in the American superhero television series The Flash, came to the city for Comic Con Liverpool 2025.<\/p>\n

Taking place across the whole ACC Liverpool campus on the famous waterfront, he joined other celebrity guests such as Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars; Ralph Macchio and William Zabka from Karate Kid and the Cobra Kai series; and Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard.<\/p>\n

Sharing a picture of Gustin on Instagram, a Kassap Meat House spokesman said: “Guess who stopped by Kassap for a meal\u2014the amazing @grantgust!<\/p>\n

“It was a pleasure having such a talented actor with us. Great food, great vibes\u2014couldn\u2019t ask for more! Hope you enjoyed your time here, Grant!”<\/p>\n

Thousands of people flocked to Liverpool’s waterfront <\/a>this weekend for one of the biggest comic conventions on the British calendar. Eager fans donned colourful costumes, transforming into characters from their favourite TV, film, and video game franchises.<\/p>\n

Fans turned out dressed as everything from Deadpool to the dreaded Darla from Pixar’s Finding Nemo. Attendees had the chance to meet and take photos with some of their favourite stars, such as Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka), James McAvoy (X-Men), Nicholas Hoult (Nosferatu), and Jon Heder (Napoleon) and Efren Ramirez (Pedro) from Napoleon Dynamite.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, numerous stalls popped up, selling everything a self-proclaimed fan could ask for. Comic books, collectibles, licensed merchandise, toys, games, DVDs, books, clothes, and cosplay items were all up for grabs.<\/p>\n

Artists and illustrators also displayed their wares on the convention’s “artist alley,” where attendees could purchase original illustrations, fan art, postcards, stickers, bookmarks, and badges.<\/p>\n

A Comic Con Liverpool spokesman said: “We\u2019re all a fan of something, and Comic Con Liverpool is the best place to celebrate all things pop culture.<\/p>\n

“As well as having the chance to meet your heroes, get an item signed, or take a photo, many guests will also appear live on stage so you\u2019ll get to hear directly about their new projects and previous roles.<\/p>\n

“Outside of the celebs, you can get your picture taken with some of our unique props and set builds; watch the fabulous cosplayers strut their stuff on stage (or join them); test yours skills in our retro and modern gaming areas.<\/p>\n

“Or browse through the unique gifts in our trader and artist areas with a huge show floor for the perfect shopping experience for everyone in our community.<\/p>\n

“The shared fandoms and sense of community is central to everything we do. Fans from over 45 countries and all over the UK come together twice a year to share their love of comics, fantasy, sci-fi, gaming, horror and cosplay. To find and bond with like-minded individuals who share their interests.<\/p>\n
