Israeli fighter jets scrambled to intercept a Wizz Air<\/a> flight from London<\/a> to Tel Aviv<\/a> after \u2018threatening messages were sent to passengers\u2019.<\/p>\n

The plane was flying from Luton<\/a> to Ben-Gurion airport when the \u2018security incident\u2019 unfolded.<\/p>\n

At least one passenger received an unusual message that raised fears about an attempt to harm the aircraft.<\/p>\n

The crew informed the control tower at Ben-Gurion Airport and they sent fighter jets to escort the plane.<\/p>\n

    N12 News reports<\/a> that authorities believe a passenger changed a WiFi account name to \u2018terrorist\u2019 and sent threatening messages to other passengers.<\/p>\n

    The incident remains under investigation.<\/p>\n

    The Airports Authority said: \u2018Due to suspicion of suspicious behavior on the plane, security forces acted according to the procedures for such a case. The incident ended. The plane landed and it was found that there was no actual incident.\u2019<\/p>\n
