Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk praised President Donald Trump\u2019s 2024 victory and sharply criticised the Biden administration.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it was essential for President Trump to win to ensure that America remained great, and that we reach greater heights,\u201d Musk<\/a> told host Lara Trump<\/a>, Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, in Fox News interview.<\/p>\n Musk<\/a> has become one of Trump\u2019s most vocal supporters, citing deep concern over Democratic policies.<\/p>\n Blasts Biden administration as radical<\/p>\n Musk<\/a> didn\u2019t mince words when assessing the Biden presidency. \u201cWhoever controlled the auto pen and teleprompter during the Biden administration was the real president,\u201d he said, referring to what he called the lack of visible leadership.<\/p>\n He described Biden\u2019s White House as \u201cthe most radical-left, crazy administration ever.\u201d<\/p>\n Warns of \u201cone-party state\u201d and illegal voting<\/p>\n Musk<\/a> further claimed that a Democratic push for mass immigration had electoral motives.<\/p>\n \u201cIf President Trump had not won, I think the Democrat campaign to import vast numbers of illegal voters would have succeeded,\u201d Musk alleged. \u201cAmerica would have risked becoming a one-party state from which we could never escape.\u201d<\/p>\n He urged skeptics to investigate the issue: \u201cSome people out there may be somewhat skeptical\u2026 I assure you, the more you research it, the more that you will see it is true.\u201d<\/p>\n Backlash to cost-cutting: \u201cDidn\u2019t expect this level of violence\u201d<\/p>\n As head of the Department of Government Efficiency<\/a> (DOGE<\/a>), Musk said his aggressive cuts have triggered nationwide backlash.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not been boring, that\u2019s for sure \u2014 an eventful year to say the least. At least I didn\u2019t get shot, you know. Look on the bright side,\u201d Musk<\/a> said wryly.<\/p>\n \u201cBut we have had people shoot up Tesla stores and burn down Tesla cars. I wasn\u2019t expecting that level of violence, really.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cRelentless propaganda\u201d and personal attacks<\/p>\n Musk accused critics of engaging in smear tactics. \u201cThere has been a relentless propaganda campaign\u2026 character assassination, trying to destroy [my] public perception,\u201d he told Lara Trump.<\/p>\n He acknowledged such backlash as \u201csomewhat inevitable.\u201d<\/p>\n Massive cuts under DOGE<\/p>\n Since taking over DOGE, Musk has moved to eliminate hundreds of millions in DEI<\/a> (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) contracts and proposed trimming the federal workforce to curb spending.<\/p>\n The efforts, while controversial, are being hailed by conservatives as a signature accomplishment of Trump\u2019s second term.<\/p>\n Musk\u2019s legacy: \u201cHelped move civilization forward\u201d<\/p>\n Asked how he wants to be remembered, Musk<\/a> reflected on his long-term goals.<\/p>\n \u201cThat I was useful in the furtherance of civilization,\u201d he said. \u201cThat I helped move civilization forward, added to the store of knowledge and capability \u2014 that I helped to understand the universe.\u201d<\/p>\n
