A man has been charged after a supermarket worker was stabbed inside a Heron Foods store in Birmingham.<\/p>\n

The victim suffered a knife wound to his stomach during a robbery at the store on Heathland Avenue on Thursday morning, February 5.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> said Reece Allen, 31, from Birmingham<\/a>, had been charged with robbery, theft from shop, wounding, possessing a knife in a public place and common assault of an emergency worker.<\/p>\n

He was due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, February 9.<\/p>\n

In a statement, police said: “A man has been charged after a shop worker was stabbed in #ShardEnd<\/a> on Thursday.<\/p>\n

“Reece Allen, aged 31 and from Birmingham<\/a>, has been charged with robbery, theft from shop, wounding, possessing a knife in a public place and common assault of an emergency worker.<\/p>\n

“He has been remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today.<\/p>\n
