A fire near the train line yesterday will continue to disrupt services in Bristol throughout the bank holiday<\/a> Monday (May 5).<\/p>\n

The fire, which was next to the train<\/a> track between Newport and Cardiff Central, resulted in severe disruption with two of the four train lines remaining closed this morning.<\/p>\n

Repair work is ongoing and a limited service of two trains in each direction every hour will run at a reduced speed.<\/p>\n

This will affect Great Western Railway<\/a> services between Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Central.<\/p>\n

There will only be one train service per hour in each direction today between Bristol Parkway (after calling at Temple Meads<\/a>) and Cardiff Central (calling at Newport in between).<\/p>\n

Due to the limited service, two train stations along the route will not receive a train service.<\/p>\n

The Patchway<\/a> and Severn Tunnel Junction train stations will not be served by GWR.<\/p>\n

National Rail said a limited road transport service will be in operation between Bristol Parkway, Patchway and Severn Tunnel Junction.<\/p>\n

Tickets dated for Sunday, May 4 can be sued to travel today and can be used on the following services at no extra cost:<\/p>\n
