Bristol City have signed Rhys Knight from Irish side Bray Wanderers.<\/p>\n

Knight has signed a three-and-a-half-year professional contract, which keeps him at the club until June 2029.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 18-year-old and brother of City\u2019s skipper Jason Knight will join Dennis Baranowski\u2019s Under-21 side, bolstering an already talented midfield group.\u00a0<\/p>\n

City Technical Director Brian Tinnion said: \u201cWe\u2019re excited to welcome Rhys to the club. He is a player with a lot of potential and one we hope thrives in this environment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to working with him and supporting his development over the next couple of years.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Progressing through the Seagulls\u2019 academy system, Knight made 46 senior appearances for Bray Wanderers, playing in the League of Ireland\u2019s Men\u2019s First Division.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The midfielder made his debut in April 2024, bagging his first goal a year later, solidifying his place in Paul Heffernan\u2019s side and ultimately helping the Wanderers reach the 2025 Promotion Play-Off.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As a fifth-year student at Clonkeen College, the youngster earned the prestigious Under-18 Boys\u2019 Schools International Player of the Year award in 2025 after featuring in all Centenary Shield fixtures against Wales, Northern Ireland, England and Scotland.\u00a0<\/p>\n
