(ABC News)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;She was in deep enough water to get enough water through her gills and all of that, but she didn&#8217;t really swim away.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;She started to turn upside down and floating on her back.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Concerns over shark behaviour<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Mr Spendlove, a self-employed carpenter from West Lakes, said he regularly cycled between West Lakes and Glenelg and had &#8220;never seen anything like that before&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;I&#8217;ve heard that a few others [sharks] have been washed up on the beach, but I haven&#8217;t seen them,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"EmphasisedText_quote__TE6kn\"><p>&#8220;There&#8217;s something happening to bring in more and more sharks, whatever that is I don&#8217;t know, but there&#8217;s definitely more and more sharks getting sighted along our coastline.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Fulham Gardens resident Marie Liberatore was also on scene early this morning to push the shark out to sea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Like Mr Spendlove, she said she had &#8220;never seen anything like this&#8221; despite walking along Henley Beach almost every day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;I did see a stingray \u2014 a big ray \u2014 rescued the other night at Henley Jetty,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;But there&#8217;s just been a lot of sea life washing up \u2026 when I walk across you just see random stuff pop up on shore.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"A dead shark loaded on the back of a trailer\" class=\"Image_image__5tFYM ContentImage_image__DQ_cq\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/498ed98416d437bc779dab1a0bd1962b\" loading=\"lazy\" data-component=\"Image\" data-lazy=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_base__sj2RP FigureCaption_text__zDxQ5 Typography_sizeMobile12__w_FPC Typography_lineHeightMobile20___U7Vr Typography_regular__WeIG6 Typography_colourInherit__dfnUx\" data-component=\"Typography\">Authorities removing the shark in a trailer after it washed up at Henley Beach South.
