Liverpool are set to be open to letting Mo Salah leave this summer as he will have just one year left on his contract.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Salah<\/a>\u00a0plunged his future at\u00a0Liverpool<\/a>\u00a0into serious doubt in December after a revealing interview with the press following their draw at Leeds.<\/p>\n

Things looked bleak regarding his future on Merseyside as he admitted that he felt the club had\u00a0thrown him under the bus\u00a0and his relationship with manager Arne Slot had broken down.<\/p>\n

Despite rumours around a likely exit, the Egyptian legend repaired his relationship with the Dutchman and has remained at Liverpool until at least the end of this season.<\/p>\n

As I revealed on the latest edition of\u00a0Football Insider\u2019s Transfer Insider podcast<\/strong>, he could well make an exit in the summer if all parties are open to a move.<\/p>\n

Salah<\/a> has long been linked with a move to a Saudi Pro League club, with Al Ittihad in particular known to be keen on signing him.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old has not hit the heights expected of him for Liverpool<\/a> this season, and could be set to leave after nine successful years at Anfield ahead of next term.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the\u00a0Transfer Insider podcast<\/strong>, I explained:\u00a0\u201cThis story never goes away, it rears its head in every transfer window, pretty much. We know that Mo Salah is a top target for the Saudi Pro League. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a couple of seasons ago when Al Ittihad made that big \u00a3150million offer, which was rejected by Liverpool.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, it\u2019s not been a great season for Mo Salah on and off the pitch. He obviously had that bust-up with Arne Slot, and then obviously his form\u2019s not been anywhere near as good as it was last season, which was going to be hard to replicate. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s back in favour right now, but I think his long-term future is definitely in doubt. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s in the final 18 months of his contract, come the summer he will just have a year left on this lucrative contract and maybe it could be the right time for a parting of the ways for everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aston Villa still have no plans to sign Harvey Elliott permanently<\/p>\n

One of Salah\u2019s former teammates who could return to Anfield this summer, Elliott, has certainly not enjoyed his football while out on loan at Aston Villa.<\/p>\n

That is because he has barely played any games, with Villa refusing to meet the 10-appearance mark that would see his loan become a \u00a335m obligation to buy.<\/p>\n

Unai Emery\u00a0and the Villa board have held talks with\u00a0Liverpool\u00a0over a potential re-negotiation of the clause, but they are still not willing to hand him three more appearances this season as it stands.<\/p>\n
