Lord Sugar likened one team on The Apprentice to Tottenham, which Karren Brady couldn\u2019t help making fun of. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite still occupying a place in the relegation zone, there is a real feel-good factor around West Ham<\/a> at the moment.<\/p>\n

Nuno Espirito Santo<\/a>\u2018s side have won four of their last six in all competitions, and head into an FA Cup fourth round tie with Burton Albion on Saturday off the back of a 1-1 draw with Man United.<\/p>\n

However, the same can\u2019t be said for Tottenham, as they are now managerless following Thomas Frank\u2019s sacking, and are just five points above the Hammers in 16th.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the latest episode of The Apprentice<\/a>, both teams were given either 25kg of chicken or egg, and were tasked with creating two dishes based on their product of choice.<\/p>\n

In the boardroom section of the episode, Lord Sugar said to one team of candidates: \u201cBearing in mind the dietary constraints, it was a worse team selection than Spurs would pick, if you ask me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brady<\/a>, West Ham<\/a>\u2018s vice-chair, saw this as a perfect opportunity to twist the knife on the Hammers\u2019 London rivals, responding with: \u201cAnd that\u2019s saying something!\u201d<\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t get a response out of Lord Sugar though, but it\u2019s sure to have made any Hammers fans watching crack a laugh and a smile.<\/p>\n

Who has gotten the better of one another in recent meetings?<\/p>\n

West Ham and Tottenham have been playing out their London rivalry since September 1898, back when the Hammers were known as Thames Ironworks.<\/p>\n

In more recent times, the two London rivals have been contesting many memorable Premier League clashes down the years, and is always a fixture both sets of fans look for in the calendar at the start of every season.<\/p>\n

So, who has been the more dominant of the two when they\u2019ve got together in recent years, and as such, is Brady\u2019s Tottenham jab fair?<\/p>\n

Well, as detailed in the above graphic from Sofascore<\/a>, West Ham have only beaten Spurs once in their last five Premier League meetings, which incidentally came in the most recent one, when the Hammers ran out 2-1 winners on 17 January.<\/p>\n

Aside from that, the Lilywhites have won two of the last five games, with two draws in that time period too.<\/p>\n

However, when Tottenham have won it\u2019s been in emphatic style, with a 3-0 win on 13 September last year, and before that, they beat the Hammers 4-1 on 19 October 2024.<\/p>\n
