Last year, however, other researchers refuted Google\u2019s claim by completing one of the calculations on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newscientist.com\/article\/2437886-googles-claim-of-quantum-supremacy-has-been-completely-smashed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conventional computer in just 14.22 seconds<\/a>. Undaunted, Google made a second claim for quantum supremacy a few months ago, with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newscientist.com\/article\/2459318-is-googles-new-willow-quantum-computer-really-such-a-big-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new quantum computer called Willow<\/a>.
