Sheffield Wednesday\u2019s clash with Millwall on Saturday has been thrown into doubt by the issuing of new weather warnings. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Owls are set to host promotion-chasing Millwall<\/a> at Hillsborough, as they look to provide the Championship<\/a> with a major upset. <\/p>\n

But the game, among countless others across the UK in the coming days, is at risk of postponement amid worsening weather conditions. <\/p>\n

The Met Office<\/a> have released yellow warnings for snow and ice across the north of England, with Sheffield expected to fall in the impact zone. <\/p>\n

Officials will be keeping a close eye on conditions in the coming days, as much of the UK braces for freezing temperatures. <\/p>\n

Several clubs, including Millwall, are hoping to take advantage of Coventry City\u2019s stumbles above them. <\/p>\n

The Sky Blues had looked a dead-set for, at least, automatic promotion this season, but Frank Lampard\u2019s team have crumbled. <\/p>\n

Millwall have an early chance to gain ground with Saturday\u2019s trip, which will be against a team with just one win in 31 matches this season. <\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> are all but relegated and are merely playing for pride at this point, but Alex Neil and Millwall will be careful not to underestimate their opponents. <\/p>\n

That is, if the game actually goes ahead, with the weather set to have its say over the coming days.<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday preparations disrupted by conditions<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday have already been affected by the weather this week, but it is actually their training ground that has been disrupted.<\/p>\n

The Star<\/a> reports that the pitches at Middlewood Road have been hit by torrential rain in recent days, with Henrik Pedersen taking his team\u2019s training at Hillsborough on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to do everything to be to be prepared for the game on Saturday, and that\u2019s why we were in the stadium today,\u201d the Owls manager said.<\/p>\n
