A man was stabbed in his own home in the early hours of the morning. Merseyside Police received reports of the stabbing at an address on Dale Acre Drive, Netherton, at around 1am on Thursday February 12.<\/p>\n
The victim suffered a number of stab wounds and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition, a Merseyside Police spokesman said. A 47-year-old man from Netherton<\/a> was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He was taken to a police station in Merseyside and has now been bailed with conditions.<\/p>\n Detective inspector <\/strong>Samantha Davies said: \u201cAlthough our officers made a swift arrest just hours after the incident we are still investigating what happened on Dale Acre Road yesterday after a man was left at his home with several stab wounds.<\/p>\n “I would like to reassure residents that we believe this was an isolated incident and the knife that was allegedly used during the incident has been recovered by officers.<\/p>\n \u201cI would continue to appeal to anyone who lives in the area, that has any information or who has any doorbell or CCTV footage that may have captured the incident to get in touch as soon as possible.<\/p>\n \u201cKnife crime has absolutely no place in Merseyside.
