Two people are fighting for their lives after a two-car horror crash in Sutton Coldfield<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The collision happened on the canal bridge in Bodymoor Heath Road<\/a>, near Dog Lane junction, at around 6.45pm yesterday, May 4.<\/p>\n

A man and a woman involved in the collision – both in their 20s – were rushed to hospital in a critical condition.<\/p>\n

Police said three other occupants in the same car, a white Audi A3, were treated for injuries not thought to be life-threatening at this time.<\/p>\n

The vehicle had collided with a blue Audi Q6.<\/p>\n

The occupants of the second car suffered minor injuries.<\/p>\n

Warwickshire Police<\/a> has urged anyone with information about this incident to contact the force.<\/p>\n

A force spokesperson said: “We\u2019re appealing for witnesses after a two-car collision left two people in a critical condition in hospital.<\/p>\n

“The collision occurred on the canal bridge in Bodymoor Heath Road near the junction with Dog Lane at around 6.45pm yesterday.<\/p>\n

“Following the collision a man and woman \u2013 both in their 20s \u2013 were taken to hospital with serious injuries where they remain in a critical condition.<\/p>\n

“Three other occupants of the car were treated for injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening at this time.<\/p>\n

“The five of them were travelling in a white Audi A3 when it collided with a blue Audi Q6. The occupants of the second car suffered minor injuries.”<\/p>\n

Sergeant Dave Ruddy added: \u201cWe\u2019ve launched an investigation to establish exactly what caused this collision that has left two people in a critical condition.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, we don\u2019t believe anyone witnessed the collision, but we\u2019re keen to hear from anyone who saw either car in the moments before it occurred.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019d ask anyone with dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision to get in touch with us.\u201d<\/p>\n
