Aaron made lifelong friends at the festival saying he ‘fell in love’ with his new festival squad.<\/p>\n

Three music <\/a>fans have been invited back to TRNSMT <\/a>this year after sharing the heart warning stories about how how they met their partners and important people in their lives at the festival. The trio are set to spend the festival with their special someones.<\/p>\n

All three stories are very different, showing all of the different forms that love can take, from one couple meeting as teenagers who have now been together for seven years, another couple were childhood sweethearts who rekindled their relationship after 40 years apart.<\/p>\n

Another story comes from a happily single postman from Dublin who shared his story about meeting a new group of friends at the festival who he now considers to be lifelong mates and says he has “fallen in love” with his new festival squad.<\/p>\n

Rachael Leckford, 22, and Amy McClung, 23, from Falkirk, had their own teenage dream at TRNSMT in 2019, after first locking eyes at the festival when they were only 15.<\/p>\n

They are are still together now after seven years and they have exciting things ahead as they are planning their wedding for 2027, this Valentine\u2019s they are looking back to where it all began as they are set to return to Glasgow Green for the festival this summer.<\/p>\n

Rachel and Amy met seven years ago when they were at the festival as teenagers.<\/p>\n

Amy said: \u201cOur first TRNSMT turned out to be magical, it was the first time we connected with each other and our love of the same music. Seven years later and we\u2019re still together.<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew Rachael through mutual friends, but we had never spent any time together, we were both 15 and we travelled to Glasgow for two days of the festival, we ended up meeting up at TRNSMT and just spent the full festival with each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember holding hands at Catfish and the Bottlemen and just being so happy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve now got two dogs, and our baby Aaron, who is three-years-old. We\u2019re getting married next year at the Three Kings in Falkirk. It\u2019s just mad but so special that it all started off at TRNSMT.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe both have hectic lives working different schedules, I couldn\u2019t believe it when Rachael commented on TRNSMT\u2019s post sharing our story. To have tickets to go back to where it all began means the world to us – it will be a nice escape from wedding planning and work, we can just go and spend magical moments together again.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think a lot of people of my generation have met online so I love that we met at TRNSMT, it is just so romantic and such a nice backstory. I couldn\u2019t imagine it any other way, that first weekend together definitely sparked what became an amazing relationship full of love, laughter and great times.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe haven\u2019t been back since that year but we saw Tom Grennan three times after seeing him the year we met. We’re both huge fans and it’s all because of that first time seeing him and falling in love.”<\/p>\n

For a single postman from Dublin, Aaron, TRNSMT helped him find a set of new festival pals for life.<\/p>\n

Aaron met his new friends through an old friend of his who also loves festivals.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m from Dublin. I have a mate who lives in Edinburgh who moved over there years ago,\u201d Aaron explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter Covid, we agreed that we\u2019d go to at least one new festival every year. Last year he said ‘ man you gotta come to TRNSMT.’ Initially there was a big group of seven of us going. However, unfortunately, a good few dropped out so it ended up just me, my friend Dec, and his flatmates Freya and Mhairi.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t sure how it was going to go and I was nervous flying over, but the second I met them I felt so relaxed and chilled. We all really hit it off and I\u2019ve now made friends for life, thanks to TRNSMT.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe quickly clicked and had such a laugh, the weather was amazing, the festival was so well organised as well, we all just had a brilliant time.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was my first time doing a Scottish festival and it was one of the best I\u2019ve been to. It was the people that made it.<\/p>\n

\u201cTRNSMT was the start of a beautiful friendship. I\u2019m a happily single guy and wanted to share my story to celebrate Palentines with my amazing newfound festival mates. It’s a different type of love than a relationship, but it still means so much to me. We’re looking forward to returning this year and reliving the magic.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur yearly plan is also to include a brand new festival. I’ve fallen in love with my new festival squad and TRNSMT will forever hold a special place in my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jennifer Reid Cave, 57, from Glasgow, has always been a passionate music fan and loves live music. In 2022 she reconnected with her childhood sweetheart, after experiencing the magic of TRNSMT with him, they have returned every year since.<\/p>\n

\u201cTRNSMT has become \u2018our place\u2019 after we first went to the festival in 2022,\u201d Jennifer said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was our first outing as a couple and four years down the line we\u2019ve been to every TRNSMT since. We\u2019ve known each other since school, and we\u2019ve always loved live music and bands. Thankfully we\u2019re both on the same page with the artists and bands we like.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a bit of a last minute decision to go that year but we just went for it and I\u2019m so glad we did, it was just the best time with the best company.<\/p>\n

\u201cGetting a chance to go back this year is a lovely Valentine\u2019s present and it was my birthday this week so the timing has been great.\u201d<\/p>\n

For one other couple TRNSMT will never be forgotten after they had the ultimate onstage proposal in 2023. Paul and Kerry Murison, from Aberdeenshire got engaged in-front of a stunned crowd during Skylights\u2019 set and got married last year, after she of course said ‘yes’.<\/p>\n

Paul previously said: \u201cI had the ring for a while, and I was just trying to plan something that would be very memorable for Kerry.<\/p>\n

“It just so happened that one of our favourite bands invited us down to TRNSMT as we’ve become quite friendly with them. I thought that it could be the perfect chance to do it.<\/p>\n

“I just took my phone out and read a little thing I had written down. The crowd knew what was happening and were doing the ‘oooohhh’s’ before I got down on one knee.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"“We\u2019re getting married next year at the Three Kings in Falkirk.
