The Darna Mana Hai actor recently opened up about her renewed focus on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/lifestyle\/fitness\/krystle-dsouza-gaining-weight-gym-expert-9949062\/\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">health<\/a><\/strong>, weight loss, and managing her lifestyle despite the demanding juggle of motherhood and work.<\/p>\n<p>In an exclusive chat with <a rel=\"noamphtml noopener\" class=\"keywordtourl\" href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\" target=\"_blank\">indianexpress.com<\/a>, Reddy said that she restarted her fitness journey on her birthday, December 14, last year. \u201cIt actually started when I realised that constantly yo-yoing with my weight wasn\u2019t sustainable. I was trying to balance work, family, and yoga, but even with discipline, life would get overwhelming, especially as a busy mom,\u201d said the mother of two.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"lazyloading\" decoding=\"async\" data-lazy-type=\"lazyloading-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/track_1x1.jpg\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/track_1x1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1px\" height=\"1px\" style=\"display:none;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>On <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/lifestyle\/fitness\/sameera-reddy-raw-hardcore-majorly-motivational-fitness-jouney-weighing-90-kilos-expert-9875150\/\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">January 1st this year<\/a><\/strong>, instead of feeling discouraged, Reddy decided to find a solution. \u201cI knew I needed professional support, and that\u2019s when I reached out to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/lifestyle\/fitness\/sameera-reddy-fitness-coach-ashwyn-barreto-workouts-diet-lifestyle-changes-interview-9965989\/\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ashwyn<\/a><\/strong> and his team. Having a structured plan gave me clarity, motivation, and direction instead of feeling stuck,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Story continues below this ad<\/p>\n<p>Now training consistently \u201cat least four to five times a week,\u201d Reddy said she\u2019s begun seeing steady results. \u201cNo matter how hectic life gets, I make sure to prioritise my workouts,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>While she saw \u201cvery good results\u201d in the first month, she hit a \u201cbit of a plateau\u201d in the second. My priorities now are <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/lifestyle\/fitness\/dharmendra-89-swimming-pool-workout-experts-joints-benefits-9970372\/\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">building strength<\/a><\/strong>, managing my fitness levels over the long run, feeling strong and confident rather than just trying to be skinny,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Story continues below this ad<\/p>\n<p>A sustainable, balanced lifestyle will help me not just look good but stay strong and healthy as I age, she said.<\/p>\n<p>What does her daily diet look like?<\/p>\n<p>Reddy\u2019s approach to food is rooted in balance, not restriction. \u201cThere are no extreme restrictions, like cutting out carbs,\u201d she said. Not everyone will cheer you on, and that\u2019s okay. You have to show up for yourself. Create a vision board, set a goal, and commit. This is your journey and your decision. No one else can do it for you,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Acknowledging how hard it is for mothers, who she referred to as \u201cnatural caregivers, who often forget to take care of ourselves\u201d, Reddy pointed out some of the issues that need to be resolved.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Emotional eating is real, whether from exhaustion or eating kids\u2019 leftovers.<br \/>\u2013 You don\u2019t need a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/lifestyle\/fitness\/kapil-sharma-fitness-trainer-kis-kisko-pyaar-karoon-yogesh-expert-9939352\/\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fancy setup<\/a><\/strong>; basics can be done at home.<br \/>\u2013 Be mindful of what and when you eat.<\/p>\n<p>Her biggest lesson? \u201cBe a little selfish. Prioritising your own health isn\u2019t selfish.
