A school in Limavady has described the community being left \u201cdeeply shocked and saddened\u201d after the death of one of its pupils at the weekend, as tributes have been paid to her \u201cgentle soul\u201d.<\/p>\n
A funeral notice confirmed year 14 Limavady High School pupil Jessica Glasser tragically passed away.<\/p>\n
There have been widespread tributes following the news of her passing, including Limavady Hockey Club \u2013 of which the schoolgirl was a former member.<\/p>\n
In a tribute online, the principal of Limavady High School Darren Mornin said: “The entire Limavady High School community is deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of our Year 14 pupil Jessica.<\/p>\n
“At this difficult time, we keep in our thoughts and prayers Jessica\u2019s parents, David and Mary, her brother Aaron and her whole family circle.<\/p>\n
“May they gather strength in their collective memories of Jessica as they prepare for the tough days, weeks and months ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n
The school also confirmed there would be additional support offered to other pupils in the wake of the death.<\/p>\n
“Jessica will be fondly remembered by everyone associated with the school,\u201d the school added.<\/p>\n
Limavady Hockey Club said it was \u201chard to put into words the shock and sadness we feel hearing about Jessica\u2019s passing\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe void she leaves behind is testament to the impact she had on the lives of everyone who knew and loved her,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will remember her fondly with love as the gentle soul she was and always as a beloved member of our hockey family.\u201d<\/p>\n
A funeral notice said the girl was the \u201cmuch loved daughter of David and Mary. Dear sister of Aaron. Also a loving granddaughter, niece and cousin\u201d.<\/p>\n

It confirmed the funeral service will be held in her home on Newton Road in Limavady on Tuesday at 12 noon followed by burial in Christ Church Limavady burial ground at 1pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jessica Glasser.
