yellow weather warning for snow has been issued by the Met Office, with forecasters warning of potential disruption across large parts of Wales from 4pm on Wednesday until 6am on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The alert, issued at 10am on Tuesday, warns that a period of rain and snow could bring disruption to parts of Wales later on Wednesday and overnight into Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Forecasters have said there is the potential for accumulating snow, particularly on higher ground.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" target=\"\">Wrexham<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Between 2-5cm of snow could accumulate quite widely in areas above 150-200 metres, with perhaps as much as 10-15cm above 250-300 metres in parts of mid and south-east Wales.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Smaller accumulations, typically less than 2cm, are possible at lower levels, especially from later Wednesday evening into the early hours of Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Strong east to north-easterly winds are expected to accompany the wet <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/wales-weather\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">weather<\/a>, which could exacerbate impacts in some areas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The Met Office has said there is a small chance of travel delays on roads, with some vehicles and passengers potentially stranded, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel. There is also a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off. Power cuts are possible, and other services such as mobile phone coverage may be affected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Snow and wintry weather can cause delays and make driving conditions dangerous.
