Prince William<\/strong> once shared a great rapport with an ITV personality during his stint as royal correspondent for the broadcaster. However, an author has now claimed that the Prince of Wales severed his friendship with the ITV star after feeling \u201cbetrayed\u201d by him over his involvement in Prince Harry<\/strong> and Meghan Markle<\/strong>\u2019s documentary<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prince William\u2019s friend sided with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over documentary, says author<\/p>\n

Prince William shared a great friendship with ITV News anchor Tom Bradby. However, after his involvement in Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle\u2019s documentary, the Prince of Wales severed all ties with him as he felt \u201cbetrayed\u201d by his friend, as per Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a new biography, William and Catherine: The Intimate Inside Story, the Mirror\u2019s royal editor Russell Myers revealed that the Prince of Wales felt Bradby \u201ccrossed a line\u201d when he participated in a documentary with the Sussexes during their South Africa tour in 2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The documentary is believed to mark a watershed moment between the two brothers, as Harry revealed that he and the future monarch were on \u201cdifferent paths\u201d and also addressed the speculation about the rift between them, saying they experienced \u201cgood days\u201d and \u201cbad days.\u201d <\/p>\n

According to the book, after returning from Africa, when Bradby contacted William to share his concern about Harry\u2019s well-being, a source reportedly stated that the Prince of Wales was furious because he thought the journalist was taking Harry\u2019s side.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWilliam felt betrayed and severely let down. He considered Tom a friend, they had always got on and Harry was close to him too, but [William] never thought [Bradby] would take a side like he did,\u201d an insider said.<\/p>\n

Moreover, when Meghan spoke about her challenges balancing motherhood amid intense media scrutiny, among other things, Bradby did not raise a question about the internal affairs of the royal household, despite allegedly knowing everything, and this was the major bone of contention for William.<\/p>\n
