Dominik Szoboszlai has sent a heartfelt message to Trent Alexander-Arnold, urging him to “enjoy” what’s next after the defender confirmed his Liverpool<\/a> exit. The 26-year-old announced he will leave Anfield when his contract expires on June 30, ending an association with the club of more than two decades.<\/p>\n After making his debut in the 2016\/2017 season, Alexander-Arnold earned two Premier League<\/a> titles, a Champions League<\/a> trophy, the FA Cup<\/a>, League Cup, alongside other honours through 352 matches played. With just three games possibly left at the club \u2013 starting against Arsenal<\/a> \u2013 he turns the page on his storied Liverpool journey.<\/p>\n Madrid is buzzing with anticipation for Alexander-Arnold’s speculated arrival, even though Real Madrid<\/a> stands as a fierce competitor to Liverpool. Fans on social media have also been disappointed following the announcement.<\/p>\n But Szoboszlai sent nothing but good vibes from inside the dressing room. Sharing a video clip of Alexander-Arnold’s Liverpool exit news, Szoboszlai commented: “My boy. And you’ve seen that this season with the way that we’ve played.”<\/p>\n He added: “So it was never about not having confidence in that, it just boiled down to what I felt I needed, and that is a change.<\/p>\n “That’s something I need to do on my personal journey as a person, but also as a player and a professional, to go and challenge myself elsewhere. I feel like a challenge in a different environment is something that I need to do as a player.”<\/p>\n Alexander Arnold also insisted that he understood the frustration and negative reaction his exit would produce from fans. He said: “Yes, 100 per cent. I\u2019ve been a fan of this club my whole life, it has given me the opportunity to go and do everything I\u2019ve done, to achieve everything.
