Chido Obi became Manchester United’s youngest Premier League starter at Brentford. <\/p>\n
At 17 years and 156 days, he broke the record previously set by Mason Greenwood in May 2019.<\/p>\n
Obi is 67 days younger than Greenwood was when he played in a 2-0 defeat to Cardiff City.<\/p>\n
Amorim explained his decision to start the youngster and insisted that he does not want any pressure put on him.<\/p>\n
He said: “I think we need to focus a lot on our young players. For me, it\u2019s not a massive game for Chido.<\/p>\n
“I know that it\u2019s important for Chido, but I don\u2019t want a lot of pressure on Chido, I just want him to do what he knows.<\/p>\n
“He played really well in those minutes against Wolverhampton.<\/p>\n
“He\u2019s improving a lot, and then Newcastle, the rotation. I feel that he\u2019s ready to cope with the demands of the Premier League.”<\/p>\n

\u201cThose two and Victor [Lindelof] are probably the only ones I have heard from in the club since I left.<\/p>\n

Wolves man Cunha is another target but plays mainly through the middle while Mbeumo operates out wide more.<\/p>\n
Mbeumo has scored 18 – three more than Cunha’s 15 – in the league this season and is rated at \u00a360million.<\/p>\n
The hefty price tag, alongside Cunha’s \u00a362.5m release clause, could mean that United look to sell loanees Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony.<\/p>\n
