Jacob Ramsey and Morgan Rogers celebrated Aston Villa\u2019s latest FA Youth Cup triumph at Villa Park this afternoon.<\/a><\/p>\n In front of 25,074 fans, Villa\u2019s U18s outclassed Manchester City\u2019s youngsters, winning 3\u20131.<\/p>\n City took the lead inside the first two minutes after goalkeeper Sam Proctor\u2019s pass was intercepted by Harrison Myles, who set up Matty Warhurst for the opener.<\/p>\n But Villa<\/a> were behind for only a matter of moments, as TJ Carroll headed in Cole Brannigan\u2019s corner.<\/p>\n Brannigan completed the comeback in the 31st minute with a stunning goal, firing a half-volley past Oliver Whatmuff from distance.<\/p>\n Jamal Jimoh-Aloba then extended Villa\u2019s lead in the 66th minute, striking from outside the box after receiving the ball following a clever dummy from left-back Rodrigo Fortes.<\/p>\n After full-time, Ramsey and Rogers were seen on the pitch shaking hands with every member of the Villa U18 squad, who were soaking in the moment.<\/p>\n Winning the FA Youth Cup in front of over 25,000 fans is a dream come true for any young player hoping to make a career in the game.<\/p>\n Ramsey came through the ranks at Villa as a youngster, and his brother Aaron won the competition with the club back in 2021.<\/p>\n Cole, the younger brother of Jacob and Aaron, was not in the matchday squad but was present, having featured for the Under-18s this season.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have Cole [Ramsey] in the ranks, so we have had nice messages from the boys who won it four years ago, from Jacob, from Aaron,\u201d manager Jimmy Shan said.<\/p>\n \u201cI have worked with Morgan at West Brom, and Mark Harrison has, so it shows their character.<\/p>\n \u201cThey appreciate the academy programme and process, and they want to share their experiences and their joy and adulation with the boys.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cThey are still partying, jumping around, and playing music, that isn\u2019t my cup of tea.<\/p>\n \u201cThey are buzzing. The way our fixtures have gone in the Under-18s, we still have two left. They can\u2019t enjoy it. We are in tomorrow, we have a cool down, and the lads who haven\u2019t played many minutes will be on the grass, and then we will be out on Thursday.<\/p>\n \u201cThey can\u2019t probably enjoy it as much as if it was the last game of the season\u2014then they could really enjoy it.
