Germany came out on top in the 2-woman bobsleigh a the Cortina Sliding Centre on Saturday, taking the gold and silver medals.<\/p>\n

“It is incredible. I don\u2019t know what to say,” Levi said.<\/p>\n

“We had hard times during the last four years so we fought back, and now we\u2019re here winning gold. It\u2019s just so crazy that we did it a second time and I don\u2019t know what to say. I\u2019m so grateful.”<\/p>\n

Nolte also won the silver medal in the monobob event on Monday.<\/p>\n

Finishing just behind their German teammates, was Buckwitz the 2-woman Olympic champion from PyeongChang in 2018, winning the silver medal with Schuten who made their Olympic debut in Milano-Cortina.<\/p>\n

USA’s Armbruster Humphries won her second Olympic medal at Milano-Cortina, and sixth all-time in the 2-woman bobsleigh event with teammate Jones.<\/p>\n

This was Jones’ Olympic debut for Team USA.<\/p>\n

Armbruster Humphries formerly competed for Canada at the Olympics before switching to competing for America in 2019.<\/p>\n

Pilot Bianca Ribi and breakwoman Skylar Sieben had the highest finish for Canada in the 2-woman bobsleigh, tying for 11th place with China’s Mingming Huai and Xuan Wang with a total combined time of three minutes 51.44 seconds. <\/p>\n

This was the Olympic debut for both Ribi and Sieben.<\/p>\n

Three-time Olympian and pilot Melissa Lotholz and breakwoman Kelsey Mitchell – who made her Winter Olympic debut in bobsleigh at Milano-Cortina – finished in 13th place with a total combined time of three-minutes 51.53 seconds.<\/p>\n

After two heats of the men’s 4-man bobsleigh competition on Saturday, Canada currently sits in 14th and 19th position.<\/p>\n

In 14th is Canada’s sled of Taylor Austin, Keaton Bruggeling, Mike Evelyn and Shaquille Murray-Lawrence who put down a combined time after the two runs of one minute, 50.14 seconds, 1.53 seconds behind the leading German sled of Joannes Lochner, Thorsten Margis, Jorn Wenzel and Georg Fleischhauer.<\/p>\n
