{"id":781730,"date":"2026-02-22T14:54:21","date_gmt":"2026-02-22T14:54:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/781730\/"},"modified":"2026-02-22T14:54:21","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T14:54:21","slug":"west-leeds-photographers-shine-at-latest-mill-gallery-exhibition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/781730\/","title":{"rendered":"West Leeds photographers shine at latest Mill Gallery exhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-right\">Words &amp; photos: <strong>Paul Abraham<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An exhibition of photographs taken by keen West Leeds photographers opened at<a href=\"https:\/\/www.themillgallery.co.uk\/?fbclid=IwY2xjawQHvulleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETBVZzhZQVpwSWJ6cXprdGpMc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHkWL0_UEozj7Zxvyg5fsn4GzgRkBmncJoqbgS-H3oHp527yeqC3t4rnDVRVy_aem_YWkw68qSjuoqxXtnBrzQRA\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> the Mill Gallery <\/a>on Friday (20 February) to great acclaim. <\/p>\n<p>The Friends of Photography group meets at the gallery at the end of each month with the motto of \u201cyou\u2019re only a stranger once and then you\u2019re a friend\u201d. It was created for anyone who has an interest in photography.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"603\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/13-900x603.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-198687\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Whether they use a top of the range digital camera or a basic mobile phone camera, they are welcomed to a non-judgemental and friendly atmosphere, where tips, advice and support is shared and encouraged.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/16-900x630.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-198688\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is open to the public each Friday between 1pm and 4pm and runs until Friday, 27 March, while the next Friends of Photography session will be held on Friday,<br \/>20 March running between 3pm and 5pm.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"577\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/15-900x577.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-198689\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Eight local photographers ranging from professional to the casual happy snapper each<br \/>have two exhibits on show, and the range of subjects is amazing.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"589\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/12-900x589.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-198690\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is free to attend although the gallery would appreciate any donation, however large or small. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"593\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/18-900x593.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-198691\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The \u201cFriends of Photography\u201d is also donation based and individuals can drop into the sessions at any time as it\u2019s facilitated in a way that is flexible and so people don\u2019t have to worry about turning up late.
