Ryan Garcia called out Shakur Stevenson moments after winning the WBC welterweight championship title.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Garcia dominated Mario Barrios to win by unanimous decision with the judges scoring the fight 119-108, 120-107, and 118-109.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old dropped Barrios within 30 seconds of the opening round of the fight in Las Vegas on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

In his post-fight interview in the ring, the newly crowned champion named who he wanted to fight next.<\/p>\n

Garcia said: “You know who I want. He’s right there. Shakur Stevenson<\/a>. Let’s go. Let’s run that s***,” Garcia said in his post-fight interview on DAZN.<\/p>\n

\u201cI fought Devin Haney<\/a>. I\u2019ll fight Shakur Stevenson. I\u2019ll fight anybody. Let\u2019s f****** go.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stevenson was sitting at ringside in the T-Mobile Arena and was nodding along to what Garcia was saying.<\/p>\n

When told that Stevenson had earlier said he was levels above, Garcia replied: \u201cThe thing is you\u2019ve got to have some punching power to get me off you as I\u2019m not going to hit him light.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want that fight. Shakur let\u2019s get it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shakur Stevenson\u2019s record<\/p>\n

Stevenson is ranked the number three pound-for-pound fighter<\/a> in the world right now by The Ring.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old is 25-0 and has won world championships in four different weight classes.<\/p>\n

His last fight in January saw him beat Teofimo Lopez by unanimous decision<\/a> at welterweight.<\/p>\n

Garcia failed a drugs test in 2024 after facing Devin Haney, resulting in that being overturned to a no-contest.<\/p>\n

He returned after a 12 month ban and suffered a loss to Rolly Romero.<\/p>\n

Stevenson has already set out his conditions for a possible showdown with Garcia.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWas VADA involved in this fight? I saw him with Rolly he didn\u2019t look like that. If he\u2019s fighting me next, I\u2019m all for the challenge but VADA will be involved.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll meet in the middle [144lbs]. Two big stars, we don\u2019t need a belt for the fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s a great fight to make. I\u2019m in this for big fights. Me and Ryan would be an even bigger fight and would be a tremendous fight. <\/p>\n

“I want to fight him and he want to fight me so it should be easy to get done. We\u2019ve just got to make sure he\u2019s on VADA and there\u2019s no cheating involved.\u201d<\/p>\n
