Leeds United fans in certain circles have gotten slightly over excited afer the draw away to Aston Villa on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n Goals from Anton Stach<\/a> and Tammy Abraham saw the points shared at Villa Park in a performance that Daniel Farke can be largely pleased with.<\/p>\n That sparked one fan to call into the 606 Football Phone In and suggest that Leeds will qualify for the Champions League<\/a> within the next four years.<\/p>\n The supporter described the result against Villa as \u201camazing\u201d and was left in no doubt over the future success at Elland Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n That prompted Chris Sutton<\/a> to question via X on Sunday: \u201cChampions League coming soon for Leeds United? This Leeds fan Hitash thinks so\u2026 do you agree?\u201d<\/p>\n Chris Sutton reacts to Champions League dream at Leeds United<\/p>\n It\u2019s safe to say that the wider fanbase in Yorkshire isn\u2019t getting carried away after the points were shared in the Midlands.<\/p>\n Stach\u2019s strike was stellar and left Emi Martinez looking distinctly average, and it deserved to be the winner.<\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t to be as Leeds\u2019 resolve was once again broken late on when Abraham used his thigh to lift an improvised header over Dominic Calvert-Lewin.<\/p>\n That left many frustrated in LS11, especially after what had been a largely excellent performance against a side fighting for a top-four finish.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n That wasn\u2019t the case for the fan calling into BBC Radio 5 Live, although Sutton was left confused as he somewhat rolled his eyes after a Champions League prediction for Leeds.<\/p>\n The former Celtic striker asked: \u201cSo you think Leeds United will be a Champions League club within the next five years?\u201d<\/p>\n It appears that this was done sarcastically to try and highlight just how pie in the sky this prediction is right now, with Leeds fighting at the bottom end of the Premier League.<\/p>\n Leeds United relegation chances assessed after Villa draw<\/p>\n The Champions League certainly isn\u2019t in the pipeline at Elland Road right now, but avoiding relegation certainly is.<\/p>\n A point at Villa Park probably should have been three, but to add to the tally was certainly important in the wider context of the season.<\/p>\n The Opta<\/a> supercomputer still backs Leeds to avoid relegation with a predicted chance of just 2.9 per cent for the Whites to go down.<\/p>\n Predicted Premier League table<\/p>\n Farke\u2019s men are backed to finish 15th ahead of Tottenham in 16th and Nottingham Forest in 17th, while West Ham, Burnley and Wolves look set to go down.<\/p>\n That will make for excellent reading in Yorkshire and may allow the LS11 outfit to build towards European football next season.
