Welsh Affairs Committee seeking views<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Welsh Affairs Committee recently launched\u00a0a survey inviting NHS patients who use cross-border healthcare between England and Wales to share their experience.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Image representing news article\" src=\"https:\/\/www.parliament.uk\/contentassets\/5829e6f62c204fc9bb39f3faa50451f0\/adobestock_484270052.jpeg\" style=\"height:433px; width:650px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Committee is seeking to understand what the most pressing issues are for those accessing healthcare across the border, including if Welsh language provision is sufficient.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Results from the survey will help inform the Committee\u2019s inquiry examining the challenges faced by people accessing cross-border healthcare.\u00a0The inquiry builds on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/committees.parliament.uk\/oralevidence\/15275\/pdf\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(55, 49, 81);\" target=\"_blank\">Committee\u2019s previous evidence session on cross-border healthcare<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0explore\u00a0in greater depth the issues affecting patients.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>NHS patients from\u00a0all across\u00a0Wales and parts of England may face challenges accessing healthcare across the border, such as accessing medical records,\u00a0transport\u00a0and hospital referrals.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for the survey is\u00a013\u00a0April\u00a0and it can be accessed on the\u00a0Committee\u2019s website.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Committee\u00a0also welcomes\u00a0written evidence\u00a0on its full terms of reference, including\u00a0how\u00a0the use of data and digitalisation\u00a0could\u00a0improve patients\u2019 experiences\u00a0and\u00a0the impact of recent policy healthcare announcements.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Further information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"What is your experience with cross-border healthcare between England and Wales?
