Arsenal firmly hold the upper hand over Tottenham right now after hammering them in the latest instalment of the North London derby.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 4-1 win for the Gunners firmly asserted further dominance this season and only underlined just how good Arsenal are and how poor Spurs have got.<\/p>\n

However, while many have looked at the Spurs game and noticed a huge gulf, Jurgen Klinsmann has offered up a bizarre take that will delight Arsenal fans.<\/p>\n

Jurgen Klinsmann claims Tottenham were actually quite good against Arsenal <\/p>\n

Jurgen Klinsmann might be a Tottenham legend but as pundit comments go, he\u2019s had an absolute stinker and played in Arsenal fans\u2019 hands.<\/p>\n

Speaking for ESPN FC<\/a>, Klinsmann was asked if Tottenham\u2019s performance actually offered some hope. <\/p>\n

And bizarrely, he suggested yes!<\/p>\n

\u201cI totally agree [there was some hope]. You sensed the crowd in the first half, usually it\u2019s the team who picks up the crowd but from minute one the crowd wanted to push them and give them energy and there was a lot of energy in the Spurs side. Yes, they didn\u2019t create as many chances as Arsenal did in the game but there was a positive feeling and a positive body language,\u201d Klinsmann said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey need more physicality in there and it could come in the next few weeks. But on one extreme, they are fighting relegation and on another extreme they are fighting in Europe but I felt there was good energy there and hopefully they continue that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Klinsmann\u2019s comments on Tottenham supposedly putting up a good fight and showing spirit are borderline baffling.<\/p>\n

We even heard Tottenham boss Igor Tudor question his own team<\/a>, after just a single game in charge.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re an Arsenal fan hearing this right now, then it really is music to your ears. Hearing a Spurs legend claim they produced something in a 4-1 defeat effectively shows just how low they have dropped.<\/p>\n

Playing against Tottenham used to be seen as one of the hardest fixtures in the calendar. Now, based off just this season anyway, it\u2019s almost a guaranteed six points.<\/p>\n

For Klinsmann to suggest Spurs showed something in this fixture is mind-blowing and only adds weight to any Arsenal fans who are already gloating about current proceedings. <\/p>\n

If this is as good as it gets for Spurs, then Arsenal fans will be waving them into the Championship before we know it.<\/p>\n
