Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is a fierce musical that tells the story of misunderstanding, hate, fear and how love ultimately conquers all. <\/p>\n

Starring icon Adele Anderson (Bernadette), Strictly Come Dancing <\/a>star Kevin Clifton (Tick\/Mitzi) and the talented Nick Hayes (Felicia\/Adam), it\u2019s a show that really performs. All whilst Mitzi (Kevin Clifton) is en route to meeting his 9-year-old son and unite with his wife. Priscilla Queen of the Desert is a joyous celebration of unity, love, and being unapologetically yourself.<\/p>\n

A flamboyant spectacle<\/p>\n

For those who love a flamboyant, bright spectacle, this is the one for you. Directed by Ian Talbot and choreographed by Matt Cole, it\u2019s a visual masterpiece that throws the audience into another worldly experience.<\/p>\n

The costumes by Vicky Gill and wig supervision by Craig Forrest-Thomas only add to the flamboyant and joyous spectacle that follows the turbulent journey of three queens making their way through the desert, in a campervan named Priscilla. <\/p>\n

Audience participation<\/p>\n

Whilst no lucky man was pulled up on stage and slotted into the finely-tuned dance routines, there was plenty of audience participation. <\/p>\n

The cast were clever in getting the audience to respond to them, without leaning into the cheese of a classic pantomime.<\/p>\n

Set and lighting design<\/p>\n

The extraordinary set and lighting design by Andrew Exeter enabled audience engagement throughout the entire production. There was never a dull moment to lose interest, as the stage transformed before the audience\u2019s eyes. <\/p>\n

The end of the show saw the audience standing, singing and clapping as the theatre was filled with sparkle, shine and a standing ovation.<\/p>\n
