However, there is still time to mark the occasion, as a massive parade and a street ceilidh are coming to the city this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Taking place on <strong>Sunday, March 1<\/strong>, the Lunar New Year, where visitors can enjoy an afternoon of fun, with music, dance and good vibes.<\/p>\n<p> The timings and location of the Lunar New Year celebrations in Glasgow <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-18619\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1_JS324228049-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  \/>Photo by Jeff J Mitchell\/Getty Images <\/p>\n<p>As Glasgow doesn\u2019t have a designated Chinatown like, for example, <a href=\"https:\/\/secretliverpool.co\/\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretliverpool.co\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_0\" data-category=\"click_cross\">Liverpool<\/a>, the Lunar New Year dragon parade will commence at <strong>2pm<\/strong> on <strong>Sunday, March 1<\/strong> on the steps of the<strong> Royal Concert Hall<\/strong>, making its way up to <strong>Renfield Street<\/strong>, then to <strong>Bath Street<\/strong> and onto <strong>Sauchiehall Street<\/strong> via<strong> Holland Street<\/strong> at <strong>2:30pm, <\/strong>followed by a <strong>lion dance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p> The huge street ceilidh <\/p>\n<p>A massive <strong>street ceilidh<\/strong> will then take place at<strong> 3pm<\/strong> outside <strong>Edward House<\/strong> on 199 Sauchiehall Street, inviting everyone to join in.<\/p>\n<p>The organisers said: \u201cJoin in a Strip the Willow ceilidh dance led by a 6-piece piping band from the National Piping Centre. Can a dragon ceilidh? Come and find out!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of the celebrations, the event description states: \u201cBring your friends and family and join us for a vibrant outdoor celebration that blends the best of Scottish and Chinese heritage and traditions.
