Davy Litten will embrace the Hull FC full-back position if he gets the call against York Knights at the MKM Stadium on Friday night and has vowed to give it 110% wherever he is played.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old is one of a handful of options for the Black and Whites to step into the role after a devastating season-ending ACL injury to Will Pryce, with Hull also able to call on Zak Hardaker, Lloyd Kemp, and Logan Moy.<\/p>\n

Formulating a plan at training this Tuesday, Hull will try out new combinations as they come to terms with losing one of their most influential and talented players. And while it\u2019s a bitter pill to swallow, Litten knows the club have to look to move forward and get back to winning ways following Saturday\u2019s humbling defeat at Wigan.<\/p>\n

“From a negative, the positive is that we\u2019ve got a lot of heads which could go there, but whatever happens I\u2019ll put my hand up for the team and I\u2019ll put 110% effort into the game,” Litten, speaking to Hull Live on Monday, said. “We\u2019ll see on Friday night, but I\u2019ve got the utmost respect for Prycey.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ll ask him for a load of advice if I do play there, but we haven\u2019t trained yet and I don\u2019t know yet what the crack is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Litten \u2013 who played the full-back role as a community player, a Hull FC<\/a> junior, and in the early stages of his first-team career \u2013 has recent experience in the role, lining up against Salford RLFC earlier this month and scoring three tries.<\/p>\n

Developing into a centre over the last 18 or so months, it\u2019s a role he is comfortable with and will embrace if he gets the call, which could be dependent on positions elsewhere, notably with what Hull do with Hardaker and Arthur Romano with back rower Joe Batchelor out of the round three clash.<\/p>\n

“100% \u2013 the Salford game was like a return to when I played there when in the community game again,” Litten explained. “Playing full-back is what made me love the game from the start.”<\/p>\n

Looking to right the wrongs from Saturday\u2019s defeat, Litten is also keen to set Hull\u2019s record straight, regroup, and prove they are a better team than the account they showed at Wigan.<\/p>\n

“We can turn a negative into a positive,” Litten added. “We know that wasn\u2019t good enough and we need to turn up far better than that come Friday and the rest of the season in order to put our best foot forward.<\/p>\n

“We all need to turn it into a positive now as a 17 and as a squad going forward, train harder, and then turn up on game day and don\u2019t expect the game just to be given to us.
