{"id":786672,"date":"2026-02-24T21:47:14","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T21:47:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/786672\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T21:47:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T21:47:14","slug":"metquarter-to-celebrate-international-womens-day-at-everyman-cinema","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/786672\/","title":{"rendered":"Metquarter to Celebrate International Women\u2019s Day at Everyman Cinema"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IN CELEBRATION of International Women\u2019s Day 2026, Metquarter, Everyman Cinema Liverpool and Girls With Dreams Club have partnered to host a special evening featuring a panel discussion, audience Q&amp;A and film screening.<\/p>\n<p>Taking place on Thursday 5 March at 6pm, the evening will be hosted by presenter Gemma Cutting and will feature a panel talk and Q&amp;A with two inspirational mother and daughter duos. Together, they will share insights into their personal and professional journeys, exploring their relationships, the power of cross-generational collaboration and how women can uplift and support one another at every stage of life.<\/p>\n<p>Liverpool based event entrepreneurs Angela and Harriet Maguire, founders of The Event Agency will make up one half of the panel. They will share insights on their journey, from starting out their business to launching a one-stop events planning agency.<\/p>\n<p>Also joining the panel are Pauline Fleming and Cornelia Nelson, co-founders of Depth Training CIC, a Liverpool-based, family-led community interest company using performance and storytelling to transform communication across healthcare, education and public services.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a 30-minute panel discussion which will include a Q&amp;A section where guests will have the opportunity to ask the panelists about their careers journeys, the importance of women supporting women, and how they are helping to inspire the next generation of girls. The panel and Q&amp;A will be followed by a screening of the feminist themed film, Barbie.<\/p>\n<p>To amplify the celebrations, Metquarter and Everyman Cinema Liverpool have partnered with Liverpool based Girls With Dreams Club, the community collective created by mums and build to support and inspire the next generation of girls. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jennina O\u2019Neill, Centre Manager at Metquarter said \u201cIt is great to be able to work with Girls With Dreams Club to host this event within Everyman Cinema at Metquarter, giving aspiring female entrepreneurs the chance to speak with local women within the industry that have paved such successful careers. At Metquarter we champion all independent business owners and so are proud to be a part of this event in celebration of International Women\u2019s Day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nicola Byrne, Co Founder at Girls With Dreams Club and Scouse Girl Social Events said \u201cWe are so excited to work with Metquarter and Everyman Cinema this International Women\u2019s Day. At Girls With Dreams Club we champion women of all ages through our Scouse Girl Social events, celebrating cross-generational leadership and the power of women championing women across generations. This event will bring together mothers and daughters who work in business together for an open and honest discussion about their journeys, the lessons they\u2019ve learned from one another, and how different generations can collaborate, lead and grow side by side.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Visitors can purchase tickets for the event via the Everyman website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.everymancinema.com\/film-listing\/1000040556-international-womens-day-with-scouse-girl-social-presents-barbie\/?date=2026-03-05\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> for just \u00a316.45 + booking fee, which includes a bottle of branded water and popcorn.
