Liverpool have been tipped to go up against Real Madrid and Manchester City for the signing of a unique Italian talent. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Andrea Cambiaso, 26, currently plays for Juventus but is now expected to be at the centre of a transfer battle involving Europe and England\u2019s top clubs.<\/p>\n

The Italian international has played mostly at left-back for the Bianconeri this season but is a tactical revelation.<\/p>\n

As Juve under Luciano Spalletti change formation in search of the right formula Cambiaso has been deployed as a left-sided midfielder in front of a back three, as a right winger and right-back.<\/p>\n

He could therefore solve plenty of problems for Liverpool <\/strong><\/a>\u2013 as they have been struggling for a consistent right back – and perhaps facilitate a change of formation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Liverpool interested in Andrea Cambiaso<\/p>\n

Arguably Liverpool haven\u2019t had a player of Cambiaso\u2019s type since James Milner left in 2023 – a multifaceted performer who can play in a range of positions<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Any top squad competing for honours requires these kinds of players – and that\u2019s why Cambiaso is such an intriguing option.<\/p>\n

Currently earning around \u00a338k per week at Juve according to a report <\/a>in Caught Offside his signing would not break the wage budget but Liverpool would have to stump up a sizeable transfer fee.<\/p>\n

The Italian giants would do business at between \u00a352m and \u00a361m according to the report – although that might come down if Juve want to add Federico Chiesa to the mix<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Cambiaso would cost \u20ac60m to \u20ac70m<\/p>\n

\u201cClubs like Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Juventus full-back Cambiaso,\u201d the report reads.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis current contract runs until 2029, and his reported annual salary of around \u20ac2.4 million places him comfortably within the club\u2019s wage structure.<\/p>\n

\u201cJuventus are expected to demand between \u20ac60\u201370 million before engaging seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n

Liverpool wouldn\u2019t have much use for Cambiaso as a first-choice left-back with Milos Kerkez set to reign in that position for a decade.<\/p>\n

But he would be more than adequate back-up to the Hungary international – as well as an option at right-back and on either wing.<\/p>\n

The Premier League champions would be effectively getting four players for the price of one.<\/p>\n
