Believe it or not, the late Princess Diana<\/a> was not the only Spencer sister to have captured the heart of a young Prince Charles<\/a>. Lady Sarah, six years older than her sister, was the first to conduct a romance with the now King, and, although it was a short-lived dalliance, it contributed to one of the most famous royal marriages in history. Now Lady Sarah McCorquodale, the rarely-seen aristocrat joined the royal family to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day on Monday, sitting alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla, the Princess of Wales, and her nephew, Prince William.<\/p>\n Born in 1955, Sarah was the first child of John Spencer and Frances Roche. Her sister, Jane, was born two years later, followed by John \u2013 who tragically died within 10 hours of his birth in 1960 \u2013 then Diana and, finally, Charles, who would go to become the 9th Earl Spencer<\/a>.
