\n\tLate-night hosts are entering the conversation surrounding President Donald Trump\u2019s proposed movie tariffs<\/a> shaking up Hollywood.<\/p>\n

\n\tJimmy Fallon<\/a> and Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> kicked off their respective talk shows on Monday, blasting Trump for \u201cnow aiming his wrecking ball at Hollywood<\/a>,\u201d the latter host said.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Movie Industry in America is DYING a very fast death,\u201d Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform Sunday. \u201cOther Countries are offering all sorts of incentives to draw our filmmakers and studios away from the United States.\u00a0Hollywood, and many other areas within the U.S.A., are being devastated. This is a concerted effort by other Nations and, therefore, a National Security threat. It is, in addition to everything else, messaging and propaganda!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe president continued, \u201cTherefore, I am authorizing the Department of Commerce, and the United States Trade Representative, to immediately begin the process of instituting a 100% Tariff on any and all Movies coming into our Country that are produced in Foreign Lands. WE WANT MOVIES MADE IN AMERICA, AGAIN!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe do?\u201d Kimmel questioned in response before adding, \u201cBecause I don\u2019t care where they\u2019re made. I really don\u2019t. I guess it\u2019s what the late, great Hannibal Lecter would\u2019ve wanted. Sonic, the illegal immigrant hedgehog, is a national security threat and he must be stopped!\u201d

Kimmel continued on Monday\u2019s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, \u201cAnd this wasn\u2019t just another late Sunday night whim for Trump. He said, \u2018I have done some very strong research over the last week,\u2019 which means he had brunch with Jon Voight at Mar-a-Lago this weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe host noted that he wasn\u2019t joking, as Voight \u2014 one of Trump\u2019s \u201cspecial ambassadors\u201d to Hollywood \u2014 revealed earlier Monday that he seemingly had a plan to bring more production<\/a> back to the U.S.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis is where he reportedly got the tariff movies idea \u2014 from Angelina Jolie\u2019s 86-year-old father she won\u2019t talk to,\u201d Kimmel quipped. \u201cWhat a great idea. Next year, The White Lotus is gonna be set at a Hampton Inn.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for Fallon, he teased some potential filming locations for upcoming movies and television shows if they have to shoot in the U.S.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGonna be fun seeing the next Lord of the Rings filmed in Bayonne, New Jersey,\u201d he host said on The Tonight Show, before attempting to reenact scenes from the epic fantasy adventure films, but with a New Jersey accent.<\/p>\n

\n\tFallon continued, \u201cIf you don\u2019t like that, you can also watch Emily in Des Moines,\u201d instead of Netflix\u2019s Emily in Paris. \u201cIt\u2019s just as charming,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
