{"id":788682,"date":"2026-02-25T19:41:14","date_gmt":"2026-02-25T19:41:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/788682\/"},"modified":"2026-02-25T19:41:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T19:41:14","slug":"great-britain-removes-visas-from-passports-starting-today-they-will-be-electronic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/788682\/","title":{"rendered":"Great Britain removes visas from passports, starting today they will be electronic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The United Kingdom Embassy in Tirana has announced that the immigration system in its country is entering a new phase of digitalization.<\/p>\n<p>According to the announcement, starting today, February 25, visitors who require a visa to enter the United Kingdom will be provided with an electronic visa (eVisa), replacing visas printed in the passport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is an eVisa?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An eVisa is a digital registration that contains:<\/p>\n<p>Your identity and immigration status (e.g. visa type or whether you have indefinite leave to remain in the UK);<\/p>\n<p>The conditions of your status, such as whether you are allowed to work or study.<\/p>\n<p>Electronic visas will gradually replace all physical immigration documents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What documents are replaced?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Biometric Residence Permits (BRP) have already been replaced by eVisa.
