No use in betting, games or single club\/league\/player publicat\u2026\"  \/>The consortium said the \u201chistoric mishandling\u201d of the club by former owner Dejphon Chansiri was a factor in its withdrawal (Martin Rickett\/PA)<\/p>\n<p>They reaffirmed aims to secure the best achievable outcome for creditors, protect the club\u2019s long-term future, and to exit administration in a responsible manner.<\/p>\n<p>In explaining the collapse of the deal, the consortium pointed to the \u201chistoric mishandling\u201d of the club under previous owner Dejphon Chansiri.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have fondly watched Wednesday from afar for many years,\u201d said a consortium spokesperson, in an open letter to fans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a club whose glory has been diminished over the years by poor owners who forgot or intentionally disregarded your passion, your history and your value.
