He\u2019s the baby monkey who has captured hearts around the world. <\/p>\n

And now the story of Punch the tiny primate and his beloved teddy bear has been immortalised in an eye-catching piece of jewellery. <\/p>\n

The golden grill captures both cuddly characters sitting in front of a enamel bamboo panels.<\/p>\n

Punch went viral after he was abandoned at just a few days old<\/a>. His teddy became his only friend in the world and photographs of their tender cuddles moved even the hardest of hearts.<\/p>\n

The grill has been created by Homer the Jeweller. Renowned for his detailed work<\/a>, he used traditional lost-wax casting to form the gold base before painstakingly hand-painting Punch and his stuffed companion.<\/p>\n

But it wasn\u2019t just the sculpting that took precision.<\/p>\n

Homer spent hours perfecting Punch\u2019s eyes, knowing that the slightest mistake would remove the heart of the piece.<\/p>\n

    \u2018It was all about capturing the soul of the monkey,\u2019 he said. \u2018If the eyes weren\u2019t right, it wouldn\u2019t feel real.\u2019<\/p>\n

    Earlier this week, it was revealed Punch had been accepted by his troop of monkeys.<\/p>\n
