Armed police descended on a street after a man was reportedly “spotted with a knife”. The incident occurred on West Derby Road in Tuebrook at around 12.30pm on Thursday, February 26, when Merseyside Police received reports that a man, believed to be armed, had pushed a man riding his bike before leaving the area.<\/p>\n
Merseyside Police said armed officers were sent to the area to search the surrounding streets<\/a>, but no weapons have been recovered so far. Police confirmed an investigation into the incident is ongoing and urged anyone with information to come forward.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Merseyside Police<\/a> said: “At around 12.30pm this afternoon we received a report that a man who was believed to be holding a knife pushed a man riding a bike on West Derby<\/a> Road.<\/p>\n “The offender then left the area. Armed patrols are searching the area.
