Photo: Shutterstock. &#13;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forum-uk.eu\/more-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Forum on EU-UK Cultural and Media Relations<\/a>\u2014 of which the MU is an official supporter\u2014 is an independent and non-partisan pan-European grassroots initiative founded in September 2024 and based in London and Brussels.<\/p>\n<p>The Forum has recently launched a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.openpetition.org\/uk\/petition\/online\/united-kingdom-to-join-the-creative-europe-programme-from-2027\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">petition<\/a> urging the UK Government to rejoin Creative Europe, the EU\u2019s flagship cultural funding programme.<\/p>\n<p>Since leaving the EU, the UK has been unable to access vital funding to support cross-border cultural exchange. The petition aims to build support and encourage the Government to restore UK participation.<\/p>\n<p>What is the Creative Europe Programme?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/culture.ec.europa.eu\/creative-europe#:~:text=The%20Creative%20Europe%20programme%20is,Subtitles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Creative Europe<\/a> is the European Union\u2019s primary funding program (2021\u20132027, with a \u20ac2.44 billion budget), supporting the cultural, creative and audiovisual sectors across Europe.
