Birmingham City\u2019s<\/a> American owners have invested heavily in their football club and the city since gaining control at St Andrew\u2019s in 2023.<\/p>\n Knighthead<\/a> have also acquired cricket franchise the Birmingham<\/a> Phoenix and netball team the Birmingham Panthers.<\/p>\n Ensure our latest headlines always appear at the top of your Google Search<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n The planned Sports Quarter, which will include a 62,000-seater stadium called The Powerhouse and an indoor arena, is further evidence of their commitment to Birmingham.<\/p>\n Now, according to The Times,<\/a> Knighthead are open to the idea of adding a rugby union team to their sports portfolio in the Second City.<\/p>\n There is talk of Knighthead establishing a new team, but there is also the possibility of buying Birmingham Moseley<\/a>.<\/p>\n Birmingham Moseley currently play in National One, the third tier of the league pyramid, and could offer Knighthead a route into PREM Rugby, the top tier.<\/p>\n Knighthead chief Tom Wagner <\/a>has discussed the possibility of adding another team to his sports portfolio in the past and wants the Sports Quarter to be a place where multiple teams operate.<\/p>\n Whilst The Powerhouse will host Blues on match days, the plan is for it to stage other major sporting events and bringing elite-level rugby to Birmingham is on the cards.<\/p>\n Would you watch rugby at The Powerhouse?
