Weather maps show temperatures could surge across the UK next week as parts of England could soon be warmer than holiday hotspots including Benidorm and Ibiza\"UK<\/p>\n

Parts of the UK could be warmer than some of your favourite holiday hotspots next week as data suggests temperatures will surge well above the seasonal average.<\/p>\n

We have already seen temperatures creeping upwards this week, and while we are not out of the woods in terms of chilly conditions, there now appears to be sunshine on the horizon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The ECMWF weather<\/a> model reveals temperatures could soon hit 17C in parts of England<\/a>. Next Thursday, the maps show the mercury could rise to 16C at around midday in southern and eastern regions.<\/p>\n

Highs of 14C and 15C are possible quite widely across England around this time. However, conditions are expected to be notably cooler in Scotland<\/a>, Northern Ireland, Wales and the far north of England.<\/p>\n

Temperatures should keep rising though, as the maps show highs of 17C in eastern England, around Cambridge and Peterborough, at 6pm. Yorkshire, the Midlands and southern areas – including London – could rise to 16C.<\/p>\n

In contrast, temperatures are only expected to rise as high as 15C in sunny Benidorm. The same is true for Ibiza.<\/p>\n

And temperature anomaly maps for next Thursday have turned deep red over England. This indicates that temperatures will be well above the seasonal average.<\/p>\n

The Met Office<\/a> says \u201cplenty of dry weather\u201d and \u201csome sunshine\u201d is to come. Its forecast for March 3 to 12 states: \u201cMuch of this period looks like being largely dominated by high pressure, especially towards the south or southeast of the UK.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis will mean many places seeing plenty of dry weather with variable cloud amounts and some sunshine, the best of this towards the south or southeast, but perhaps with some fog overnight.<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever, frontal systems are still likely to affect the north and west of the UK at times though, maybe also briefly affecting other parts, bringing some rain and strong winds, and perhaps a little snow<\/a> to the high ground in the north.
