A five-story house next door to the home Charles Dickens rented in London\u2019s Bloomsbury neighborhood has hit the market for \u00a34.5 million (US$6.05 million).\u00a0<\/p>\n
The property was occupied by Dickens, his wife and their eldest son from 1837 to 1839, and it is where he wrote \u201cOliver Twist\u201d and \u201cNicholas Nickleby,\u201d according to the listing with Dexters, which brought the home to the market earlier this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The museum, according to its website, is set up as it would have been during Dickens\u2019s tenure, complete with furnishings, portraits and decorations that belonged to the author.\u00a0<\/p>\n The \u200b\u200b3,500-square-foot house on the market \u201csits at the heart of London\u2019s history, next door to the home of one of Britain\u2019s greatest authors,\u201d Michael Keating, sales director at Dexters Bloomsbury, said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n It has nine bedrooms, a patio garden and offers flexible accommodation, according to the listing.\u00a0<\/p>\n The house last changed hands for \u00a34.1 million in 2014, listing records show.
