A Birmingham drug dealer who advertised his illicit services by sending out business cards has been jailed.<\/p>\n

Mohammed Ahmed, 27, has been locked up for his role in the \u2018Jason\u2019 county drugs line which saw him flood the city with crack cocaine and heroin.<\/p>\n

Officer seized Class-A drugs from Ahmed when he was driving and also from an address linked to the criminal.<\/p>\n

Ammunition and wads of cash were recovered during a raid on his home in Sparkhill<\/a> in March last year.<\/p>\n

He had arrived home during the raid but then drove off when he spotted officers.<\/p>\n

Ahmed was arrested within a week from another car in Nechells.<\/p>\n

Detectives established he had sent out business cards advertising his crimes.<\/p>\n

He also had videos on his phone showing heroin being blended and packaged – as well as clips and photos of large amounts of cash and drugs.<\/p>\n

Ahmed made no comment during his police interview but officers were able to build the case from the overwhelming amount of evidence found at his house, car and in his possession.<\/p>\n

Ahmed, of Doris Road, Sparkhill<\/a>, Birmingham, was convicted of being concerned in the supply of Class-A drugs between April 2024 and 2025, possessing ammunition, having criminal property and driving offences.<\/p>\n

He was locked up for nine years last Friday, February 20, following a trial at Birmingham<\/a> Crown Court.<\/p>\n

Detective Sergeant Adam Buzzard of West Midlands Police<\/a> said: \u201cDrugs not only ruin lives, but fuel further crime and we\u2019ve managed to shut down a significant drugs line.<\/p>\n

\u201cAhmed was trading Class-A drugs in the region and I\u2019m sure this would have continued had he not been stopped.<\/p>\n

\u201cAhmed tried to avoid capture but it was only a short reprieve, and he has rightly lost his freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n

A force spokesperson added: “County Lines drug dealing affects everybody, from the drug users to the vulnerable people exploited by gangs and made to transport and sell drugs, often against their will.<\/p>\n
