SP Energy Networks has shared a statement on its website<\/p>\n

A power cut in Liverpool city centre is affecting businesses in a number of postcodes. SP Energy Networks, which operates the electricity transmission and distribution network across Merseyside<\/a> amongst other areas, confirmed a power cut was affecting the L1 postcode of Liverpool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The ECHO<\/a> understands the power outage was reported shortly after 4pm today, Saturday. SP Energy Networks<\/a> said the issue will last until just after 8pm.<\/p>\n

A statement on the energy provider’s website said: “There is an unplanned power cut affecting the L1 postcode area of Liverpool. We have engineers on the way.<\/p>\n

“Once they arrive, they will get straight to work on investigating the fault. We are aiming to have your power restored by 28\/02\/2026, 20:16. We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”<\/p>\n

There are currently 18 postcodes affected. These are:<\/p>\n
