One person was taken to hospital after an “incident” in Carrickfergus<\/a> on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the Minorca Drive area of the Co Antrim<\/a> town at around 10.04 on Saturday, February 28.<\/p>\n

Two emergency crews attended the scene, with the Air Ambulance also being tasked to the area. One person was taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital<\/a> in Belfast.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the NIAS said: “The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service<\/a> received a 999 call at 10:04 on Saturday 28 February, following reports of an incident in the Minorca Drive area of Carrickfergus.<\/p>\n

“NIAS despatched 2 Emergency Crews to the incident. Ambulance Control also tasked the Charity Air Ambulance, with HEMS crew on board, to attend.<\/p>\n

“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken, by ambulance, to RVH.”<\/p>\n
