Noel Gallagher thanked his brother Liam as he collected his Brit Award for Songwriter of the Year.<\/p>\n
The Oasis star was at Co-op Live to collect the award as Manchester hosted the ceremony, which was being held outside London for the first time.<\/p>\n
Collecting his award, Noel said: “Yes, Manchester! I’m going to start by saying I’ve got to thank my brother and Bonehead, and Guigsy, Tony McCarroll, Alan White, Gem, and Andy.<\/p>\n
“They brought those songs to life, without them, I’d just be a singer-songwriter, and nobody gives a shit about singer-songwriters. More importantly, I’d like to thank you, the people who’ve kept those songs alive for the last 35 years. Without you, you’ve given us the most extraordinary life, and thank you very much for that. Have a great night.<\/p>\n
“Up the f***** Blues!”<\/p>\n
However not all viewers at home heard all of Noel’s speech in full, as ITV cut audio whene he said ‘Up the f***** Blues!’.<\/p>\n
In a video played before Noel collected his award, Guardiola said: \u201cYou deserve it now with your brother Liam and your band \u2013 you come back, you never disappear and yeah, share it a little bit this award with your brother, Liam, please.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m so proud of you, hats off, and I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n
The ceremony is being hosted by comedian and actor Whitehall and is being broadcast on ITV and ITVX.<\/p>\n
Advance winners already announced include Oasis\u2019s Noel, while record producer and DJ Mark Ronson will be honoured with the outstanding contribution to music award.<\/p>\n
Singer-songwriter PinkPantheress, whose real name is Victoria Walker, is the recipient of this year\u2019s producer of the year award.<\/p>\n
