A West Midlands pub will be saved after the departure of chef Glynn Purnell.<\/p>\n

The Mount, located in Henley-in-Arden, was to close on March 15, but has been brought back to life by owners of a nearby pub.<\/p>\n

In a statement, a pub spokesperson listed “rising costs”<\/a> which made the pub “no longer financially viable.”<\/p>\n

A short drive away in Wootton Wawen, The Bulls Head confirmed to BirminghamLive that they will take on The Mount.<\/p>\n

Owners Martin and Omm Peel further announced the change with a statement and called The Mount ‘the most amazing pub’ in Henley.<\/p>\n

On social media, The Bulls Head posted: “You\u2019re probably aware that The Mount will be closing their doors next month.<\/p>\n

“In the heart of Henley’s High Street conservation area, The Mount has been beautifully restored & furnished, to the credit of the owners & their team.<\/p>\n

“We think it\u2019s the most amazing pub, restaurant & garden venue Henley has to offer.<\/p>\n

“And so we\u2019re delighted to announce that we\u2019ll be reopening the doors of The Mount soon.<\/p>\n
